Love cycling? So do we. At BIKE24, we’ve built more than just an online shop – we’re a hub for a fast-growing community of passionate riders and a driving force for greener mobility. We’re looking for a Content Manager and Translator to bring Slovenian-speaking audiences closer to that world. In our Content Localization team, you’ll do more than translate words – you’ll shape how BIKE24 speaks to an entire market. Working in an agile, collaborative team, you’ll bring your language expertise to life across every channel we touch. Ready to make your skills part of something bigger?
Your new challenge:
- Content Creation & Maintenance: You translate German- and English-language content – including copy, banners and newsletters – into Slovenian, and take responsibility for proofreading, copy-editing and publishing on our website.
- AI-Powered Processes: You work with AI-powered translation and content creation tools (custom GPTs, workflows, glossaries) and continuously develop them further.
- Linguistic Quality Assurance: You review and refine existing Slovenian content on our website and in marketing materials, ensuring that tone, style and message are consistent. Maintaining an extensive technical glossary for automated translations is also part of your role.
- SEO & Content Optimization: You write SEO-optimized copy for our homepage and use appropriate tools to evaluate the SEO performance of texts created by external agencies or freelancers.
- Transcreation & Content Localization: You adapt online advertising materials and campaigns for the Slovenian-speaking market – tailored to the target audience both linguistically and culturally.
- Coordination & Feedback: You create error logs, develop correction proposals and work closely with external translation service providers.
- Administrative Responsibility: You review invoices from external service providers, document costs transparently and forward all documents to our accounting department.
Your Skills:
- Language Skills: You are a native Slovenian speaker with excellent command of your mother tongue or you have C2-level proficiency in Slovenian. Good German or English skills (minimum B2) are also required, as most source texts for translation are written in German or English.
- Experience & Passion: You have experience in translation and/or copy-editing and stand out through a strong feel for language and genuine enthusiasm for writing.
- Industry Interest: You have an interest in the cycling and sports industry and ideally are already familiar with our webshop and our diverse product range.
- Working Style: You work in a structured, reliable and precise manner and are quick to grasp new information and tasks.
- Tool Experience: Basic knowledge of SEO and experience with translation tools (DeepL, Crowdin), design tools (Adobe XD, Figma), project tools (Jira, Miro), AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude) and CMS (Magnolia or others) is an advantage.
- Technical Requirements: If you work remotely, you have a stable internet connection, as regular video calls and handling larger image files are a regular part of your work.
