Tech Lead – Fullstack / TypeScript / NodeJS (m/f/d) – Remote

BIKE24 • Barcelona, Dresden

Barcelona, Dresden

from today
(Full-time, part-time possible, permanent, 100% Remote within Europe)

As Tech Lead (m/f/d) at BIKE24 you will be jointly responsible for the development and operation of services within our Checkout & Retain team. Your team takes care of the evolution of user centric features on our Web Shop, like reviews, wish lists, our checkout, and the end-to-end integration of payment methods.

Among 3-4 developers, supported by a Software Architect, a QA engineer, Product Designer and Product Manager, you will be shaping the future of this part of BIKE24's eCommerce platform. You will lead your team to translate existing components into a micro service architecture and create a performant and enjoyable user experience. All this happens in an international, product-oriented, and cross-functional team that uses Scrum in its day-to-day operations.

Your new challenge:

  • You are coaching and enabling your product team from a technical leadership perspective.
  • You are guiding and participating in the development process of the implementation.
  • You take care of the integration of additional systems, and introduction of new technologies to make our services future-proof.
  • You are supporting the communication flow within the team, cross-team and towards management.
  • Apply your experience in Domain-driven design (DDD) & Test-driven development (TDD) in your day-to-day work.
  • As a Tech Lead (m/f/d) you are responsible for the technical ownership, technical vision, and implementation of the product in adherence with the guidelines established by the architecture team.

Your Skills:

  • You already have experience as a Tech Lead or/and you are a Senior Developer who facilitated and shaped projects in your team and company.
  • You love to coach the members of your team and see them grow day-to-day through learning on the project.
  • You will work with Typescript and related frameworks like NextJS, NestJS and React. So, you should bring experience in at least one of those and the typescript ecosystem.
  • The legacy base of our systems is written in PHP, therefore experience with Laminas (formerly Zend framework) would be beneficial.
  • You are collaborating with your Project Manager on the business requirements and are experienced in understanding resulting architecture implications.
  • To communicate in our international teams, you are fluent in English both verbally and written.
  • A plus, no must: Some Cloud experience, ideally GCP; Experience with IaC and Docker
Mentionable parts of our Tech Zoo:
  • Git, SQL/NoSQL Databases (Mongo, MySQL, Oracle, Firestore), ElasticSearch, NodeJS, Docker, Docker compose, React, Redux, Webpack, IaC (Terraform, Ansible), Github Actions, Nginx, Apache2, PubSub/RabbitMQ, Pact
